Mr. Jones has over twenty years of finance, investment and multifamily experience. Having started his career in investing banking, Porter has a deep background in finance, accounting and M&A.
His prior experience includes being an integral part of two of the most active Multifamily Investment Brokerage teams in the Southeast at Cushman & Wakefield and Jones Lang LaSalle. In addition, he held the position as Regional VP at Pollack Shores Real Estate Group where he successfully sourced and closed several institutionally-sized acquisition and development projects throughout North and South Carolina.
Since starting DPJ Residential in 2014, Porter has developed 10 apartment communities totaling over $425 million in deal volume throughout Charlotte, Wilmington, Winston-Salem and Savannah.
Porter received his BA from Duke University (’00) where he received a 4-year Tennis Athletic scholarship and received an MBA from Emory University Goizueta Business School (’09). Porter lives in Plaza Midwood in Charlotte, NC with Ruger, his five year old Labrador Retriever.
